The Team

MMOUK was first established in 2007, and since then we’ve worked with clients of all shapes and sizes – from individuals, small businesses and marketing companies, to FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 corporations, leading e-learning/training companies, and government bodies such as the NHS and emergency services.

The studios are on the top floor of a 17th century woollen mill sitting between two rivers and right next to a large pond nestling in the Cotswold hills with plenty of free parking and just a 10 minute walk from the rail station.

Stroud is almost equidistant from the centres of broadcasting in England and Wales – just 90 minutes from London, 30 minutes from Bristol, an hour from Cardiff and Birmingham. 2 hours from Manchester, and around an hour from four major airports including Heathrow, Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff – with free pick-up and drop off for clients flying into the UK.

We have three dedicated post-production edit suites using Adobe CC software, a variety of industry-leading motion graphics, VFX and 3D plug-ins, plus 3D environments and modelling for HD, 4K, 2D & 360 video and immersive and AR displays.

Our reputation is vested not just in the technology we use, but in the people who work for MMOUK and the wealth of production experience and specialist skills we bring to each and every project.

Founder, Producer and cakeologist

Andrew Longhurst

Founder, Producer and cakeologist

A former milk monitor, Andrew began his creative career in 1983 working in the music industry, for which he asks your forbearance. He is also an innovator, from his involvement in the world’s first VR studio to the development of the first portable MP3 player. In 1994, his first experience of location video production involved a litre of Glenmorangie and a streaming cold. He thinks it went well.

In his own words:
I am passionately interested in people, organisations and their stories. With 25 years in video production, I set up MMOUK harnessing the best technologies and talent to help realise the ideas and aspirations of people and organisations; creating content that not just captures their hopes and dreams, but engages their audience and exceeds their goals.

Mike, a dedicated electric cycle entusiast and one-time North Nibley pole-dance laureate nominee, holds a BA Honours in ‘Media Stuff’. Mike engages in continuous learning and is an absolute wizard with Adobe CC – particularly AE, PP and Illustrator.

Mike is our lead for Motion GFX and animation always bringing new visual concepts that express complex ideas simply with animations and layouts that capture hearts and audience share.

In his words “It’s the team that’s the thing …. can I have cake now?”

It’s the beard we admire him for.

Luke Coleman

Writist, journaliser, camerator and beardinage

Luke Coleman

Writist, journaliser, camerator and beardinage

Luke owns most of his facial hair, is qualified to deliver ESL, has an abiding fascination in people and cameras, is a writer, reporter and has travelled widely.

He claims to be pretty good at “camera-ing” and will talk about ‘wide-angle’ lenses for beer or cake. Meanwhile, his interest in giving voice to those who are often not heard to which he brings energy and dedication but, thus far no cake.

He is a delight…

Neil ‘Ace’ Harper

Copywritist, Storyteller and Scriptwriterator

Neil ‘Ace’ Harper

Copywritist, Storyteller and Scriptwriterator

A prototype super-human, Neil escaped from an underground military research facility with two degrees – one more and he’d have formed a singing group – but instead developed a passionate interest ‘words and stuff’, going on to work both agency and client side, and freelance with agencies ranging from Silver and Rooster Punk, to Digital Radish and MOI – before joining the MMOUK team.

Like all good weavers of yarns, Neil is primarily interested in characters; characters with purpose, be they individuals, brands, or specific goals. He brings them to life using ‘like, letters and stuff’ and cake. Mostly cake.

He believes he is the reincarnated soul of Howard Hughes and is a qualified quantum Bakewell magician.

What our customers say….

“I’ve worked with Andrew and his team on a number of occasions. He and they are true professionals with a gift not only behind the camera, but also in making you feel at ease in front of it.

We recorded a video series to empower young people leaving school, college or university to take proactive control of their careers. MMOUK’s passion, both for their work and the subject matter, created an outstanding result.

Strategy, planning and then creative editing using the latest technology are all skills Andrew and his team possess. In addition, they’ve been extremely helpful and proactive in the creation of marketing resources for the product launch and have always delivered on time. If you’re looking for true professionals with technical excellence and great personalities to match, look no further. Highly recommended!”
